The 5 best second-hand furniture stores in Zurich for unique finds and great deals
Why buy brand new when you can score something unique with character? Second-hand finds often tell stories you just can’t get from a flat-pack box.
As a matter of fact, Zurich’s resale scene is full of hidden gems: vintage chairs, sturdy tables, and quirky pieces that make a space your own. Plus, it’s kinder to your wallet and the planet.
So, for style, savings, and a little thrill of the hunt, why not check out these second-hand furniture shops in Zurich to snag unique pieces?
1. Zürcher Brockenhaus

Address: Neugasse 11, 8005
Contact Details: +41555555555
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10 AM – 6:30 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 4 PM
Walking into Zürcher Brockenhaus feels like stepping into a piece of Zurich history. Established in 1904, it’s the city’s oldest Brockenhaus.
We love the scale: three to four floors packed with everything from wardrobes and lamps to quirky décor, books, and clothing. The Belétage upstairs is where the gems hide, showcasing antiques, designer pieces, and even a rental service for trade fairs.
Another highlight is the on-site carpentry and upholstery workshops. Yes, you don’t just buy raw second-hand items here. Many are restored or reupholstered at cost-covering rates.
On the other hand, the pickup service has its limitations. If your furniture is too bulky or dismantled, they might refuse it, or you’ll need to pay disposal fees, which can be a bit frustrating compared to other shops.
Even so, shopping here just makes you feel like a hero. They channel their profits into social projects, donating around CHF 170,000 in 2021.
Perfectly curated second-hand store
“This is the most beautiful and perfectly curated second-hand store I have seen (primarily furniture but also some clothing and misc. home goods). And it’s been in existence since 1904. I don’t really have a perspective on the prices but everything I saw looked in great condition, was unique, and was creatively merchandised.”

Huge and better organised
“They renovated the place and it is actually very nice. Still huge but better organized I would say. I found lots of lovely Christmas decorations at a fair price, and some beautiful lamps. It is worth the visit as it is also good to mention that the place is located in a cool area, with nice quirky shops and a wide range of street food.”

2. Schubiger Möbel

Address: Ueberlandstrasse 423, 8051
Contact Details: +41443252550
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10 AM – 8 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 6 PM
Schubiger Möbel’s family-owned touch is evident in its growth into one of Zurich’s largest names, employing over 100 people.
They carry furniture brands with good reputations, using massive wood and premium materials. We also like their service offering, from full design planning to delivery, assembly, and even disposal or recycling of your old furniture.
However, products tend to be high-end and premium, so expect higher prices.
Nonetheless, the sheer size of their Zurich showroom on Überlandstrasse is really impressive. It spans around 15,000 m².
Another standout is the support from their in-house design advisors, who give personalised recommendations. Between the showrooms and their online shop, we felt that this shop is the best of both old-school quality and modern convenience.
Offers a superb variety of furniture with great services
“Great location. Always enjoy the great Service, complementary coffee and great choice of furniture. Yes it’s rather premium but must say they also have some great stuff on sale at a great quality like the rest. Certainly a furniture store which offers a superb variety of furniture with great services. Great ambiance in the store and not to crowded. No big chain. Really enjoy coming here when I need something. Keep it up.”

Really good quality for wood furniture
“Great variety for couches that transform in a bed and for normal ones. Really good quality for wood furniture. We bought a wardrobe and a living room TV set. And we are very happy with the attention to details for both. Prices are on the expensive side. The furniture is ordered from the factory which means it usually takes ~10 weeks to get the deliver. It probably depends on the piece.”

3. Brockito

Address: Robert-Maillart-Strasse 12, 8050
Contact Details: +41444156440
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM
AOZ Brockito is run by Zurich’s Asylum Organisation (AOZ) and is a social project where participants get real training with professional support. You’ll find it in Zurich-Oerlikon on Robert-Maillart-Strasse 14.
What did we love? The two floors feel like a treasure hunt. You’ve got everything from indoor and outdoor furniture to lamps, books, and even clothes. It’s practical and fun to browse.
They also have a workshop where they fix up old tables, chairs, and drawers and turn them into one-of-a-kind pieces—super creative.
And it gets even better, yes, AOZ Brockito makes shopping stress-free. They deliver your purchases, help with clearances, and even handle small moves. Paying is easy too, with cash, card, and Twint.
Just note that the shop isn’t set up like a boutique, so you might have to dig a bit to find the best pieces. It can feel a little overwhelming at times, but the bright and organised layout keeps things manageable.
Very helpful and sweet
“We got a heavy duty table! Even though it wasn’t on sale, they made an exception for us because we didn’t know and are moving in two weeks 😭 They are all the sweetest people, definitely go there! 10/10 recommend! Very helpful with helping us get everything into the car 🚗 THANK YOU! ✨ …”

4. Brocki.ch

Address: Geroldstrasse 29, 8005
Contact Details: +41442710892
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 6:30 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 6 PM
Brocki.ch is part of a big Swiss Salvation Army chain (like 20 stores!) and they’re all about social projects, so your shopping actually helps out.
Walking in felt like a treasure maze. Three floors packed with over 50,000 things—furniture, clothes, electronics. And since they restock daily, there’s basically always a surprise waiting (seriously, you’ll never get bored).
One thing, though, is that they don’t have a workshop to fix up stuff. So if you’re hoping for funky upcycled pieces, you’re out of luck. Still, tons to pick from.
They also handle home and office clearances, pick up donations, and deal with unsellable items. Oh, and the BrokkiCard? Shopping and donating give you discounts—basically free points for doing good.
The vibe is super chill. The layout’s artsy and open, so even with all the furniture, it never feels like a jungle.
Everything is very well organised and tidy
“If you love thrifting, this is a must-see when visiting Zurich! The merch in this place is worth stopping by! Everything is very well organized and tidy. I am visiting from the U.S., so unfortunately, I was not able to buy a lot of things that I wish I could somehow squeeze in my luggage and bring with me back home. However, I was able to score a pair of awesome Nike shoes just under 10 CHF! The staff is very friendly, and they all speak English, which was super helpful!”

Has a bunch of cool things
“Go and visit, is just amazing. I found a bunch of cool things for my place and spent CHF 30. Goes from affordable to a bit more expensive so there is stuff for every budget, glasses and mugs from all over the world with such amazing patterns. Plates of all sizes and colors, candleholders just mind blowing. Chairs Swedish style -not IKEA- from CHF 14 each. Ceramics and vases for plants or decorations, clothes and some vintage pieces with decent prices. A stationary section with whatever you can think of. Just amazing, I’m happy I went and will deffo visit again :)”

5. Galaxus

Address: Pfingstweidstrasse 60, 8005
Contact Details: +41 (0)44 575 99 09
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 7 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Galaxus is Switzerland’s biggest online department store, run by Digitec Galaxus AG. Since autumn 2017, they’ve also offered a second-hand resale platform.
What impressed us most was the convenience of shopping entirely online. You can filter by brand, condition, or price—yes, no more guessing if something’s worth it. Honestly, way faster than hopping from shop to shop.
Fees and pricing are super clear from the start, which makes budgeting way less stressful (bye-bye surprises at checkout!).
The mix of items is awesome too, ranging from affordable to high-end designer pieces. And listings keep all the product specs and warranties from the original purchase, so you know exactly what you’re getting.
Just a heads-up: the commission system and transaction can get annoying. Between fees and payout delays, it’s not as smooth as popping into a physical store. But it’s still great if you love online browsing.
Setting new paradigms
“In all the problems related to warranty I had till now, I have gotten a solution within minutes or few days in a single specific case. Amazing job and services from Galaxus employees. Congratulations, you are setting new paradigms! no intention to flatter you.”
- Yiannis Dandakis, Google Review
Kind, effective, and competent
“I really don’t understand how Galaxus can get so many bad reviews. I have been using it for years and I have never had a problem. Delivery is fast and every single return or support case went really smooth for me. The service people at the shop have always been kind, effective and competent. I can only recommend it.”
