The 5 Best Day Spas in Zurich for a Full-Body Happiness Upgrade

Facility Variety and Space: Our team closely reviewed floor plans, separating basic steam rooms from venues offering full thermal circuits and quiet zones.

Treatment Customisation: We checked which studios start with proper skin assessments or medical consultations before the clock starts ticking.

Pricing and Credit Rules: High entry fees hurt less when the venue puts that money toward your massage or facial. We compared weekday and weekend rate structures to see where your francs stretch the furthest.

Booking Flexibility and Hours: Busy professionals can’t leave work at noon on a Tuesday just to catch a sauna slot. Looking at opening times helped us spot the baths that stay open late on weeknights or welcome Sunday guests.

Privacy and Atmosphere: Romantic celebrations need a very different energy than a loud public pool. My review weighed the house rules, age limits, and private suite options so you know the exact vibe before booking.

We all know staring at a laptop 50 hours a week leaves your shoulders feeling like concrete. And when a weekend bath in your flat stops fixing the problem, you know it’s time to call in the pros.

But of course, when you book a thermal bath or a treatment, you want clear pricing, clean steam rooms, and a therapist who listens to what hurts. So, our team researched local providers and compared their price lists and service terms across the city.

Among all the things to do in Zurich, spending an afternoon in warm water is hard to beat. Here’s how to pick the best day spa in Zurich for your schedule and budget.

Hours:

  • Pool and Sauna Area: Daily, 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
  • Treatments: Daily, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Fitness: 24 hours a day (for hotel guests)

The Dolder Grand Spa spreads their five-star retreat across 4,000 square metres, combining huge communal thermal zones with private spa suites and custom treatments.

What sets this place apart for couples is the pair of 70-square-metre private suites. Each one locks you away with two treatment beds, a whirlpool, a steam bath, a fireplace, and a balcony, so you don’t have to share the water with strangers.

If you stick to the main Aqua Zone and the separate Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s spas, you still get a 25-metre pool, a snow paradise for cold therapy, and a mirrored mosaic dome for quiet meditation.

The catch is that applying your day pass fee toward treatment credit depends on availability. Additionally, guests under 12 aren’t allowed inside.

Customer Reviews

The spa was extensive and beautiful

the breakfast was rly good and had good variety (i hadn’t seen soy sauce in so long), the spa was extensive and beautiful, and although the location is kinda out of the way, we just took the train (funicular?) down (comes every 15 min) and had no issues getting anywhere in zurich with their extensive public transit.

The spa was truly relaxing and helped us completely unwind

We had a wonderful stay at The Dolder Grand. The spa was truly relaxing and helped us completely unwind. We enjoyed a delightful breakfast while admiring the stunning view on a snowy morning, which made the experience even more special. The room was impeccable, elegant, and very comfortable. The entire staff took excellent care of us and was exceptionally kind, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. Thank you very much for such a memorable experience.”

2. 7 Sky Spa

7-sky-spa

Website: https://7skyspa.ch/

Address: Fritz-Heeb-Weg 1, 8050

Contact: +41 44 313 17 77

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Nothing is more frustrating than paying for a facial where the aesthetician barely looks at your skin before slapping on a standard cream.

At 7 Sky Spa, the staff sit down to take a full medical history and analyse your skin so every step matches what you need.

That careful prep shines during their 40-minute Hydrafacial Signature, a four-step cleansing ritual that exfoliates and pushes antioxidants deep into tired pores.

When my friend tried their 7 Sky Signature massage after a brutal work week, she loved how the therapist combined Asian massage strokes with warm aromatic candle oil to loosen her back and wake up her circulation.

On the downside, they’re closed on Sundays. Arriving late also means they have to cut your session short to keep the schedule running.

Pros

  • Full medical history and skin analysis first
  • 40-minute Hydrafacial Signature treatments
  • Warm candle oil and Asian massage techniques
  • Helps relax muscles after stressful workweeks

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays
  • Late arrivals result in shortened sessions

We left there with pretty feet and smiles on our faces 😁😁

I got to know this beautiful spa thanks to the “wine and shine “pedicure that they offer,  which includes choice of drinks and aperitif. We felt  great, Angelica and Mari took excellent care of us, they really made us feel welcome. We left there with pretty feet and smiles on our faces 😁😁

Thank you very much 😊🥰

I spent this morning at 7 Sky Spa and it was the best start to the day since I can remember 🤩 Mrs. Nasreen took very professional care of my face by doing HydraFacial and tinting eyebrows and eyelashes 🥰 In addition, she is an incredibly nice and warm person, thanks to which you can really relax and rest mentally 🌺 Another visit is already scheduled 👌 Thank you very much 😊🥰

LABO Spa by Swissline pairs bespoke anti-ageing facials and massages with full locker room amenities, handing you a bathrobe, slippers, and tea with fruit so you actually unwind.

Wellness fans who care about clinical skin results will appreciate their OxyLight machines.

Instead of a simple scrub, the therapist combine diamond microdermabrasion (a gentle physical resurfacing) with oxygen therapy, microcurrent, or LED (light-emitting diode) light to tackle dullness and fine lines.

You can also book Thai deep-tissue or Ayurvedic massages, with therapists showing the kind of precision you’d expect from graduates of top massage schools.

But keep in mind that you must switch off your mobile phone inside. To add, animals, including pets aren’t allowed in the building.

Nevertheless, for busy locals who want high-tech facials and a forced digital detox on a Sunday afternoon, this spot hits the mark.

Definitely recommend

Very nice decoration of the spa, clean and tidy. Kind receptionist. I had massage with Anhel before a week. I still can not forget how perfect the treatment was. The best massage that I had in my life, by far! (And I received many) Definitely recommend. Thank you Anhel from the bottom of my heart!

This spa really has it all and is in the centre of the city

In my opinion, Best spa in the city! Such a comfortable and relaxing environment and the treatments are extremely luxurious. I especially love their facials:) There are so many little extras, such as amazing sugar scrubs to use in the showers to complimentary lotions in your locker. Tea and snacks when relaxing. This spa really has it all and is in the center of the city.

4. Stadtbad Zürich AG

stadtbad-zurich-ag

Website: https://www.stadtbadzuerich.ch/

Address: Stauffacherstrasse 60

Contact: +41 44 241 04 27 | [email protected]

Hours:

  • Monday to Saturday: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM (Wednesday is Women-only day)
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Most spas close right when you finally finish work for the day. Stadtbad Zürich AG solves that by keeping their public baths open until 11:00 PM Monday through Saturday.

They bring Eastern and Western bathing culture right into the middle of the city. Holistic wellness fans come here for the traditional hammam circuit, which warms you on hot stones before a Kese glove exfoliation and an olive-oil soap wash.

When we spoke with their staff about booking the Tellak massage on the warm marble table, they told us it pairs directly with that steam sequence.

You can even try body wraps made with healing chalk from Northern Germany or duck into the sauna and mist showers.

But remember, you can’t book the Tellak rub alone without the hammam ritual. Additionally, Wednesdays are reserved for women, so men have to choose another night.

Pros

  • Public baths open until 11 PM
  • Traditional hammam with Kese glove exfoliation
  • Tellak massage on a warm marble table
  • Body wraps, saunas, and mist showers

Cons

  • Tellak massage requires booking the hammam ritual
  • Closed to male guests on Wednesdays

Customer Reviews

The smell, light, sounds, everything about this place is the best recipe for relaxing

If you are a fan of spa, sauna and hamam this will be your next favourite place in Zürich. The smell, light, sounds, everything about this place is the best recipe for relaxing. Going back again and again, we love this place. Highly recommended for couples as the environment is really romantic and the tea room perfect for having a conversation or simply lying on the beds they have.

Overall 5 stars all the way

As a big fan and goer of Korean bathhouses I must say this spa is on part with some of the greatest, yes this is a coed facility, however my experience there was extremely professional and the other guests respectful. I highly recommend the foam scrub and massage for additional services they offer and to bring your favorite book for the rest and relaxation area. My only critique is the price but that’s to be expected in Zürich. Overall 5 stars all the way.

Great experience

Very relaxing. Quite empty when I went. If u choose the spa ritual, your token will allow you to use the changing room and shower with soap. I think the ones outside don’t have it. Great experience. It’s a waste you cannot bring camera to the roof. Beautiful.

The spa itself is a fantastic

Lovely way to spend a few hours. The quality and design of the facilities is excellent and the conversion from the old brewery very sympathetic and interesting.  The spa itself is a fantastic and a really exciting modernistion  or recreation/homage to a roman bath house. Rooftop pool has great views of the city  and the cafe serves absolutely lovely food.  Well worth a visit!
