Walk-in Labor is one of those places in Zurich that just makes health checks simple. You don’t need a doctor’s note or a prior appointment. You just show up, get your blood drawn, and you’re done in minutes.
It’s run by Laborgemeinschaft 1 (LG1), a long-standing cooperative laboratory that has been in operation since 1979. Everything, from registration to testing, feels well-organised. Results are even sent out quickly, often within 24 hours.
Their pricing is clear too, which is always a plus. A General Check costs CHF 130.30, plus CHF 27 for processing and CHF 8 for the blood draw. Meanwhile, a Beta-HCG test costs CHF 19.80.
One thing to note is that those extra processing fees can sneak up on you. The base test prices appear affordable, but the add-ons can slightly increase the total cost.

The lab is operated by Analytica Medizinische Laboratorien AG, a Swiss family company with over 60 years of experience. They’re ISO/IEC 17025-accredited, so you can expect reliable and precise results that are typically ready within 1 to 2 working days.
Their self-requested tests cover heart health and nutrient levels. All of which are processed in-house for privacy and consistency.
Everything feels smooth and efficient, from the friendly staff to their clear step-by-step website. Results can be sent securely via encrypted email or collected in person, whatever suits you best.
The only downside is that all tests are self-pay. Swiss basic insurance typically does not cover preventive checks.
