However, finding an emergency dentist when the pain hits is tough. Most clinics make you wait weeks. Thankfully, there are emergency dentists who offer immediate relief.
Realising you might need it someday, I decided to compile a list of the best emergency dentists in Zurich to share with you. These trusted professionals will have you treated in no time.

Zahnarzt Zürich Bahnhofstrasse is quite accessible, being only a 3-minute walk from the main train station. Under the Swiss Smile Group, these dentists provide all the classic dental procedures that you’ll need.
What’s great about their practice is that I was able to easily book an appointment online, and they have a specific channel dedicated to emergency dentistry. You can expect to get an appointment within the day or at most by the following day.
They handle all sorts of cases. These range from aesthetic dentistry, such as emergency fillings or temporary crowns, to endodontic treatments like root canals. They even provide comprehensive dental X-rays that look for possible instances of decay.
The procedure is fast. In fact, I even got a tooth removed just hours after booking an appointment.
There are very minimal additional costs for an emergency appointment, which I appreciate. However, they charge you an additional fee for rescheduling an emergency appointment.

Booking emergency appointments with them will give you a specific slot on the same day, which I found to be very reliable.
They have three different categories for emergencies: Category one tackles severe emergencies, such as abscesses or open wounds. Category two deals with broken teeth or severe pain. Category three deals with fillings, veneers, and broken dentures.
Many patients appreciate the fast treatment, typically around 30-45 minutes. Despite the short visit, it can be quite comprehensive compared to other practices.

SOS Zahnarzt Klinik is located in the Haus de Bellevue pharmacy. They offer their services until 11:00 PM and are open 7 days a week. With a team of 9 dentists, they have more than enough people to handle all sorts of dental emergencies.
As for their services, they provide caries and gum disease treatment, as well as emergency surgery for teeth removal.
I highly praise their practice for specifically catering to those with dental anxiety. Many of their treatments can be done while under general anaesthesia. You can also opt for their unique dental hypnosis that helps calm patients down during stressful situations.
Their facilities really impressed me with their modern equipment. This includes the 3D digital Kodak volume tomograph, laser treatment facilities, and hi-tech Sinius dental chairs.
Just note that their dental procedures are expensive even for emergency services.

Unlike other providers, they aim to provide their clients with a painless experience, which I can attest to. Their services range from traditional to aesthetic and biological dentistry.
A few highlights are caries treatment and veneer creation. They even work with dental implants if you find your dental implant is failing.
Booking an emergency appointment is easy, and it’s typically on the same day. However, there may be times when they have to cancel emergency appointments due to overbooking.

When looking for the cheapest place to get dental work done, a university tends to be the best option. Universität Zürich Zentrum für Zahnmedizin is the lead dental school in Zurich and is preferred by many for dental treatments.
Unlike other dental clinics, I was asked to explain my dental emergency on the phone before I was able to book an appointment.
Some of the procedures available are teeth restoration, emergency extractions, and emergency surgery for instances like wisdom teeth. Most of these procedures typically cost up to 75% less than what you’d pay elsewhere.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a child or an adult because their services are open to everyone. I like that they have specific teams dedicated to each age demographic.
Their clinics are state-of-the-art, and all procedures are closely monitored by licensed dentists and specialists.
However, they’re only open until 5:00 PM.
