The 5 spots for the best mini golf in Zurich that’ll make you putt like a pro

A few months ago, our family was really eager to enjoy some quality time outdoors, but we didn’t want to do the same old picnic and museum tours. We needed something light-hearted, fun for everyone, and easy on the budget.

That’s when someone threw out the idea of mini golf. And just like that, we had a plan everyone was excited about, even the kids, who are usually hard to please.

We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of creative mini golf spots in Zurich, from peaceful parks to courses with fun, themed obstacles.

And if you’re also on the lookout for a chill yet playful way to spend the day, these are the spots worth checking out.

Minigolf Hard is this chill little spot over at Hardgutbrache. It’s totally free, open 24/7, and built by local folks. No booking, no fees, just grab some friends and show up whenever.

You can easily grab clubs and balls from the box next to the red container, and there are usually plenty available for larger groups.

What really sets this course apart are its quirky concrete lanes and DIY-style obstacles. These include ramps, slopes, loops, and even some unexpected drops, which make each hole feel one-of-a-kind.

When the weather’s nice, a little bar pops up on-site, which totally adds to the laid-back, local vibe. We like the relaxed energy it brings. And every June, the place lights up for the Summer Festival—two days of free live music, great food, and cold drinks.

Pro Tip: No reservations or fees are needed, but please bring your own water and snacks. The minibar only opens mid-week and on weekends (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday).

Just 25-30 minutes from Zurich, Actionworld is where mini golf goes off the rails (in a good way). It’s not your regular putt-putt, but we’re talking 18 wild holes spread out over three levels. It kinda’ feels like mini golf got hit with a dose of chaos and fun.

You’ll navigate through themed zones, starting with the Wild West with cowboys and gold miners, then swing by a colourful 1950s diner. After that, it’s a ride in a London taxi past a Ferris wheel, and a quick zoom on an old-school Russian motorbike.

Each stop features a handcrafted set piece where you can use cannons, leaf-blowers, and other quirky gadgets to either boost or ruin your shot.

A full round will take you about 90 minutes. The pricing is family-friendly, with rates around CHF 50 for two adults and two children under 16, and an additional CHF 8 for each additional child.

Pro Tip: To avoid full-charge penalties, cancel at least a full week before your reservation. We recommend setting a reminder immediately after booking, in case your plans change.
