The 5 best model agencies in Zurich that turn heads (and talent)

  • Reputation and Track Record: We sought agencies with a solid industry reputation and a proven history of placing models in real-world jobs, including editorial, commercial, and runway assignments.
  • Fair Fees and Transparency: We ensured that each agency doesn’t charge upfront for their own gain. Agencies had to be upfront about commissions, portfolio costs, and all the nitty-gritty.
  • Diversity and Representation: We awarded extra points to agencies that champion inclusivity and work with diverse individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and appearances.
  • Services and Support: From portfolio building to personal branding advice, we picked agencies that help models grow.
  • Professionalism and Accessibility: When we reached out, we considered how responsive and welcoming each agency was.

If you’ve ever walked through Zurich and thought, “Wow, is everyone here runway-ready?”—you’re not wrong. With its stylish streets and fashion-forward crowd, it’s no surprise the city is home to some seriously top-notch model agencies.

Even if you’re an aspiring model, photographer, or just fashion-curious, Zurich’s modelling scene is worth exploring. From fresh local faces to international talent, a lot is going on behind those perfectly curated portfolios.

So, if you’re looking to connect with the city’s creative scene or just peek behind the curtain, here’s our list of the best model agencies in Zurich you should check out.

Metro Models is one of Europe’s most polished and well-positioned agencies. Founded in 2010 by college professor David Ratmoko, the company operates in Zurich and Tallinn, catering to emerging talent and premium clients.

What sets them apart is their emphasis on education and intellect. Yes, 90% of their models are multilingual, and 60% hold college degrees. This is smart, especially for luxury campaigns that need more than a look.

However, this high bar could make it harder for new faces with no academic or international experience to break into the field. It might not be the easiest starting point for someone testing the waters or without a refined portfolio.

On a stronger note, their luxury connections are unmatched in Switzerland. They regularly book talent for watch and jewellery campaigns, thanks to deep industry ties with creative and casting directors.

Ultimately, we’re not surprised that they ranked alongside Storm Models London in 2024 as one of the top independent agencies.

Pros

  • Prioritises education and multilingual skills
  • Strong presence in the luxury fashion market
  • Ranked among Europe’s top agencies

Cons

  • High entry standards may limit opportunities for beginners

    Transparent and professional

“They have been my agency for the past few years and I am extremely pleased with their work, transparency and professionalism. I booked some of the biggest jobs of my career with them.  I highly recommend them.”

    Extremely professional and friendly

“Great agency! Extremely professional and friendly. It is always a pleasure to collaborate with David and his amazing team. Big recommendation!”

BIBA Model Management, founded by Babina Palaia in 1996, is one of the most established agencies in Switzerland. Despite representing over 50 talents across fashion, commercial, and actor segments, it still feels focused and hands-on.

The one downside? Due to their hands-on approach and focus on existing talent, casting slots don’t open up very often. This can be frustrating for new faces hoping to break in.

Even so, we were impressed by the agency’s clear structure. Dedicated individuals run each division. Mia Augsburger oversees everything from scouting to creative direction, while Luisa Fehr and Fabia Riz handle print and bookings with precision.

Another standout feature is their “BrandLab” talks, where the team shares fundamental strategies with just 20 attendees at a time. That level of openness and mentorship isn’t standard, indicating that they truly understand the business inside and out.

Moreover, we appreciate how BIBA strikes a balance between scale and sincerity. Their transparent commission system, influencer-ready roster, and age-inclusive casting range (10 to 70+) make them one of the few agencies we’d happily recommend without hesitation.

    Pros

    • Over 20 years in the industry
    • Boutique feel with top-tier agency scale
    • No annual fees
    • Offers mentoring events and clear development paths

    Cons

    • Limited casting availability for newcomers

Customer service is great and helpful

“The customer service is great from this agency. Mia from the team is especially helpful.”

      Dynamic team

“Contemporary and dynamic. The perfect agency for a cosmopolitan town like Zürich. Keep going!”

Founded by photographer and ex-model Bettina Schaefer in 2004, Scout is now the largest modelling agency in Switzerland.

We were honestly impressed by their breakaway from outdated beauty norms. They represent a diverse mix of talent, including curvy models, character faces, and individuals from age groups 30 and above.

However, they don’t run frequent open castings. If you’re just starting out or not yet “on their radar,” it might take longer to get noticed.

But one feature we found super useful is their in-house photo studio, Studio 6a. Clients can book it for shoots or castings, which makes collaborations much more efficient.

We appreciate that they also provide genuine support for personal brand growth. The team doesn’t just manage talent; they actively mentor and shape careers through one-on-one support and guidance.

Led by Bettina herself, their personalised development approach makes a real difference. We could tell they’re genuinely invested in helping each model succeed in the long run, not just chasing trends.

      Pros

      • Over 20 years in the industry
      • One of the largest modelling agencies in Zurich
      • Represents diverse and age-inclusive talent
      • Offers an in-house studio for client use
      • Strong focus on personal brand development

      Cons

      • No regular open castings
      • Mostly referral-based

        Competent and professional

“I am new to Scout. It’s my very first modeling agency and I’m totally impressed. Throughout the application process I was updated every step of the way. I also felt super comfortable from the first personal contact. The agency itself is also super cool. You immediately notice that there is a lot of creativity, competence, professionalism and good energy in these rooms.”

The process is smooth and professional

“My experience of the acquisition process at Scout was extremely positive.  From the initial contact to signing the contract, things went quickly, smoothly and professionally.  Everyone on the team has been very supportive and helpful, and I am super keen to work together with them!”

Visage is known as one of the more established names in Zurich, and it’s easy to see why. Founded in 1995 by former model Zineta Blank, the agency has shaped the fashion scene for nearly 30 years.

We appreciate that everything is done in-house—hair, makeup, styling, and even production are all part of the package. For clients, that means smoother shoots; for models, it means more hands-on support throughout.

They’ve also earned a solid reputation for discovering standout talent. Names like Taylor Hill and Andreja Pejic have passed through their doors. It’s not just about scouting; they’re also good at long-term development.

Visage also leans heavily into high fashion, which definitely sets them apart but might also narrow your options. If you’re aiming more for lifestyle or commercial gigs, it could feel limiting in terms of booking range.

Moreover, there’s a real sense of purpose behind their work. We love their ongoing support for organisations like UNICEF and the Red Cross. It’s rare to find an agency that blends industry success with social impact.

        Pros

        • 30 years in the modelling industry
        • Offers full in-house styling and production
        • Strong track record for developing top talent
        • Longstanding commitment to social responsibility

        Cons

        • Heavily focused on high fashion
        • Limited commercial and lifestyle placements

          Very supportive team

“So grateful to be part of the Visage Family!🩷 Such a lovely team and always looking forward seeing them. I feel very supported, especially for reaching my goals as a model & they really try to meet your needs and expectations! …”

          Offers personalised attention

“I love the personalized attention I receive at Visage. They really take the time to understand your goals and work with you to achieve them. It’s a wonderful agency to be a part of.”

Streetcasting is all about representing everyday people in the most relatable way. Founded in 2005 by Andrea Sponring, it’s now the largest people model agency in Switzerland.

Unlike Scout Model Agency, this agency focuses more on traditional fashion and commercial talent.

Their roster comprises over 1,200 individuals from across Switzerland and its neighbouring countries. We like how inclusive they are, from toddlers to seniors and every body type, background, and personality in between.

They also offer an amazing full-service setup. It includes consulting, casting coordination, and even video performers. As a result, it makes the process easier for both talent and clients.

And the best part? Models keep 100% of their job earnings since there are no commissions or recurring fees.

On the flip side, don’t expect bookings for runways or high-fashion editorials here. Their focus is mainly on ads, corporate shoots, and films. If you dream of Paris Fashion Week, this won’t be your route.

But if you’re after authenticity and real-world representation, this agency nails it. We love how they prioritise personality over polish, it’s actually different and refreshing.

          Pros

          • 20 years of experience in the modelling industry
          • Represents diverse and real-life individuals
          • Transparent pricing with no hidden cuts
          • Offers end-to-end casting support

          Cons

          • No opportunities in high fashion or editorial modelling

            Professional and reliable agency

“I had the pleasure of being placed on a great job by StreetCasting and am very happy with the entire experience. The organization and support were excellent and I felt like I was in good hands at all times. I can only recommend this agency and will definitely recommend it to others. I have only had positive experiences with StreetCasting and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and reliable agency. The agency has a great team of talented employees who are very dedicated and always ready to help and answer questions. They truly care about their clients and are committed to ensuring they get the best out of their work. I am happy to be part of this agency and look forward to further collaboration in the future.”

            Provides constructive feedback

“I took part in the Crashkurs Camera Acting recently which was a great experience. Raquel is great at presenting the theory in an entertaining and interesting way and really super at giving constructive feedback to everyone. We could learn from each others sessions in front of the camera too. Andrea welcomed us in a casual, friendly manner and served some delicious soup and snacks – I felt very much at home there and I would highly recommend this course. My interaction with the Street Casting team has always been positive. :-)”
