I helped her look for a reliable orthodontist in Zurich. It took me a while, but after thorough research and local recommendations, I put together a list of trusted ones.

Kieferorthopädie Lindenplatz Altstetten provides orthodontic treatment for children, teenagers, and adults. They have a team led by the orthodontist Prof. Dr Rengin Attin-Tütüncü, who personally handles each orthodontic case in the office.
Their orthodontic treatments are extensive, specifically offering options such as traditional braces or invisible braces.
Both procedures also come with instalment plans that I found to be very helpful. Aside from these, they also offer traditional dentistry procedures. The highlights include teeth bleaching and periodontal treatments.
I also loved that they have 3D scans available in the office and gave me a clear treatment plan. Apart from that, their office is clean and up-to-date.

However, I was disappointed that I needed to provide an advance payment before each consultation.

Vunder Orthodontics provides one-off braces to all its clients. I highly appreciate that all of their clients’ treatment plans are catered specifically to their unique cases.
They have three different types of orthodontic braces available. This includes the traditional fixed and invisible options.
Deciding which type of treatment best suits each case involves a combination of the patient’s preferences and the orthodontist’s suggestions.
When needing a second opinion, I tend to gravitate towards this practice due to the great insights of their dentists and orthodontists into each case. They also offer aligners to maintain finished orthodontic treatment.
A unique offering that they have is airflow tooth cleaning, which is far safer than traditional cleanings. Their office also provides 2D and 3D X-rays and scans.
Additionally, their staff speaks in German, English, and Spanish.
However, they mainly offer orthodontic treatment and don’t practice traditional dentistry, like oral prophylaxis or restorations.

Smile Lounge is the certified Invisalign expert in Zurich. They have more than 20 years of experience, and their partners are some of the best orthodontists in the business.
I like that they offer traditional dentistry, such as cleaning and bleaching.
Particularly, I was surprised that their Invisalign treatment comes in a basic flat rate of CHF 4,900. This gets even better because Invisalign offers more precise tooth correction than traditional braces, making it far more comfortable.
Treatment begins with a 3D scan performed in the office, followed by a meeting where the team drafts your specific treatment plan.
Depending on the complexity of the treatment, you’ll be given a payment plan with a set rate that you’ll have to pay for each month’s visit (love this one!).
However, despite their flat rates, they are still far more expensive than traditional or non-branded invisible braces.

I highly appreciate Dr. Jung for offering free advice during my visit. With her experience, she can fully and meticulously create personalised treatment plans for all patients.
For orthodontic treatment, I like that she offers fixed braces and Invisalign treatment. This comes with monthly instalment plans that are provided during the appointment.
Unlike other orthodontic offices, she also provides traditional dentistry for her patients.
She also specialises in toddlers, offering nutrition plans and dental hygiene options that help prevent cavities and teeth misalignment.
However, it is a bit disappointing that she doesn’t have an in-house X-ray service. A few patients mentioned they had to look for one in a different clinic, which was a bit inconvenient.

SYNO utilises some of the latest diagnostic technologies for all orthodontic cases. They work with children and adults to create some of the most perfect smiles in Zurich.
It’s great that they provide preventative treatment for children as early as 10 years old. They offer a detailed diagnostic plan aimed at correcting jaw and teeth misalignment through minimally invasive orthodontics.
Unlike other practices, they offer three unique types of braces. These include Invisalign, Incognito braces (discreet and boost confidence), and ceramic brackets (transparent versions of metal brackets).
I was impressed that they use 3D digital cameras, which can get a better picture of each case and allow them to plan accordingly to realign both teeth and jaw.
Aside from these, they also offer teeth cleaning and bleaching. These can be done in-office after your orthodontic procedures.
However, note that their unique orthodontic treatments are expensive.
